Setting Security Level and Certificate Installation in Excel 2003 (For installation in
Excel 2007 go here.)
After Excel loads, left-click on the Tools
menu item,
then left-click on Macro in the submenu below
and then finally left-click on Security in the
submenu that pops up to the right. |
Doing the above will bring up this menu. You may set
Security to either Low, Medium or High.
Once you install our Digital Certificate, you will be able to
automatically run the forms with the Security Level on any setting. You
do not need to install the Certificate if the Security Level is set to Low. |
Installing the SmartOB Digital Certificate in Excel 2003
| |
Left-click on the Yes button to install the
certificate and bring up the window below. |
| |
Left-click on the OK button and you're
done installing the certificate. Now close all the open windows. You
should then see the window below when you attempt to Open SmartOB forms. |
| |
If you set the Macro Security to either Medium
or High, you should see a screen similar to this
when you try to Open any of the SmartOB Forms after you install the certificate. Simply left-check the "Always
trust macros from this publisher." box. |
| |
Then click "Enable
Macros."
That's it! All forms from SmartOB should run on this computer
with ANY of the Security settings.
You will need to repeat the process on other computers running the
forms if you wish to install and trust the certificate. |
