Setting Security Level and Certificate Installation in Excel 2007  (For installation in Excel 2003 go here, Excel 2010 go here.)
 

After Excel 2007 loads,

left-click on the Windows button in the top left corner of the screen.

 

 

Doing the above will bring up this window.

Now left-click on the Excel Options button in the bottom right corner of the window.

   

Doing the above will bring up this window.

Ensure that Trust Center in the left column is selected.

Then left-click on Trust Center Settings... on the right.

   

Doing the above will bring up this window.

Ensure Macro Settings is highlighted on the left.

You may now choose one of the radio buttons circled in red. This will help you protect you computer from malicious code and allow you to install the SmartOB digital certificate.

Then click the OK button on the bottom right and close any open windows.

After you install our Digital Certificate, you will be able to automatically run the forms with the Security Level on any setting.

You do not need to install the Certificate if the Security Level is set to Low.

   
After doing the above, when you try to load any SmartOB form, you should now see the Security Warning.

Left-click the Options... button.

   
Left-clicking the Options... button above will bring up this window.

Now, left-click on Show Signature Details

Installing the SmartOB Digital Certificate in Excel 2003, Excel 2007 and 2010.

If you left-click on the Details... button in the screens above, you will see this window.

Now left-click on the View Certificate button.

   
Depending on your version of Windows, you will see a form similar to the one to the left.

Left-click on the Install Certificate... button that brings up one of the Certificate Import Wizard Windows below.

   

Again, depending on your version of Windows, you will see a form similar to one of the forms to the left.

Left-click on the Next  button that brings up the window below.

   
Depending on your version of Windows, you will see a form similar to the one on the left.

First, select the radio button corresponding to "Place all certificates in the following store." Then Left-click on Browse.

Left-click on the Next  button that brings up the window below.

   
You will see a window similar to this one. Select "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" and Left-click the OK button.
   
Again, depending on your version of Windows, you will see a form similar to the one to the left.

Left-click on the Next button that brings up a window similar to the window below.

   

 

Depending on your version of Windows, you will see a form similar to one of the forms to the left.

Now Left-click on the Finish button that brings up one the Security Warning windows below.

   

Depending on your version of Windows, you will see a form similar to one of the forms to the left.

Left-click on the Yes  button to install the certificate and bring up the window below.

   
Left-click on the OK button and you're done installing the certificate. Now close all the open windows and the forms. You should then see the window below when you Re-open the SmartOB forms.
   

You should see this options screen after you install the certificate.

Simply select the radio button "Trust all documents from this publisher" and click OK.

Now you may select any of the Macro Settings in the Trust Center and all SmartOB forms should run without any problem.

You will need to repeat the process on other computers running the forms if you wish to install and trust the certificate.
